Sanjay completed his legal studies at Staffordshire University, United Kingdom. He thereafter sat the certificate in legal practice examination at University Malaya and has since been called to the high court of Malaya and in December, 1995 was admitted as a member of the West Malaysian Bar. He was awarded a Degree of Master Business Administration by the University of Edinburgh in 1998. His main areas of expertise include all aspects of Litigation, Corporate Advisory Services, Joint Ventures, Franchising and Licensing, Real Property Transactions, Corporate and Commercial Contracts.
Sanjay has extensive litigation and dispute resolution experience having appeared before the Courts at all levels and also before the Industrial and Labour Courts as well as in arbitration proceedings in various Civil, Commercial and Corporate matters. he has represented banks and major corporations in complex claims and disputes in a wide range of fields including Banking, Administrative, Corporate and Commercial, Industrial Relations, Insolvency, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Insurance, Construction and Intellectual Property matters.
He is familiar with conveyancing matters particularly in respect of acquisition and transfer of real property, negotiation and preparation of agreements for the disposal of commercial, industrial and residential properties including applications for strata title, leases and landlord and tenant matters. Sanjay has also garnered considerable experience in matters pertaining to corporate and commercial contracts, security loan documentation, share sale agreements, shareholders’ agreements, commercial contracts and various other agreements of a like nature. With his litigation background, he is able to provide the perspective of the Court in construing a document.
Sanjay is a member of the Disciplinary Committee Panel appointed by the Advocates & Solicitors Board since May 2005.
Sanjay is also appointed a Notary Public in 2013.
